I’ve been going to see bands play for as long as I can remember, since 1987 (maybe 1986). For awhile I kept every single ticket stub and memory. As time went on all sorts of things were lost in the shuffle, recorded over, thrown out, trampled etc. however 25 years later I still have a few choice items from my teenage years.

The photograph of Kurt Cobain was taken in October of 1991 - 2 weeks after ‘Nevermind’ was released. I was a huge hair metal freak in the 80’s but young enough to absorb the musical shift into grunge in the 90’s. Ministry and Bad Brains were 2 bands that got me out of glam metal and into other things. By 1990 I was fully absorbed in Dinosaur Jr, The Melvins, Sonic Youth and Nirvana.
